Textiles are integral to our daily lives. They satisfy our most basic needs of shelter, warmth and sensory pleasure. Textiles combine colour and pattern, surface and form, the hand made and the digital. They can protect, seduce, excite, comfort and inspire.
The Bachelor of Arts Textile Design Blog was established in 2010 to provide a place to share the activities and diversity of Textile design at RMIT and to provide linkages to people who have an interest both academically and in the broader community.
As a program we provide an innovative learning environment framed within contemporary contexts, to ensure that graduates meet the opportunities and challenges of a globalised complex urban oriented future.
