Ooi Ken Liew is a Malaysian born Australian designer. As a recent graduate of Textile Design at RMIT, he specialized in printed surface.

Liew’s design mantra is ‘humble design’. Liew seeks to promote radical transparency within his field, placing careful consideration on material application and craftsmanship to produce sustainable design. His conceptual design thinking informs the application of his practice, and defines his minimalist style.

Liew has worked with several notable Australian brands including Country Road, Maxwell & Williams and Linen House where he gained valuable experience in product development, trend forecasting and consumer/producer relationships. The successful collaborations he has undergone exemplify his leadership strength and ability to thrive in a team environment.

Currently he is working on a project that explores the growing trend of multi-disciplinary design. He is drawing on two main areas – architecture & fashion – to express and adapt his textile background.
